One of the weekend’s highlights was Paxon’s new do….along with our t-ball party, cooking out and hanging with friends, first trip to the pool, and my car breaking down in the middle of an intersection. The only thing I managed to get a picture of was the man cave turned barber shop. Although, I would have loved to see Patrick’s face while I snapped pictures of him burning up in our broken down car waving traffic, “Smile hun, I need a picture of this for the blog!” And that’s why this blog sometimes seems unrealistic. Folks, things get crazy, but when it’s crazy Momma isn’t taking pictures
So let’s proceed….
This is my son Paxon before the haircut. I love the long hair for the record, but Patrick and Pax had been begging me for weeks to let him cut it off. While snapping a picture of him after t-ball, he slightly reminded me of Kate Gosselin. We planned the haircut for that evening.

Resemblence?

Pax and his buddy Davis, pre-haircut, chowing down some watermelon!

We had our friends over for dinner and luckily Scott is a closet hair stylist. He does all his buddies’ hair, along with his own, and his son Davis (seen above). So he easily abliged to a trade of “beverages” for haircuts!

So, the man cave now has another function, barber shop.

The new and improved do!
It makes me teary eyed because he looks so grown up and a little like a punk. Of course, he loves it.

And just for fun, Pat got a new do too!

oh i’m so sad to see the long hair gone! Pax is growig up so darn fast!! give him a kiss from me!!!
Will do! These babes are growing too fast! It’s so true that the days are long, but the years so short!
LOL! Why on earth do hair cuts make moms cry??? I’m the same way. He looks so cute!!!
What is it with the hair cuts? Is it just the boys that get us all worked up?
Kate Gosselin!! That cracked me up. What is up with her though, she looks like flock of seagulls! I like Pax’s new hair though, such a stud!
Kate totally looks like a flock of seagulls! I guess she’s always in the back of my mind lately because I’m so drawn to the US weekley to see the latest scoop on her and Jon! Isn’t that ridiculous?

I thought home haircuts were supposed to be on the front porch in the ghetto? 40 oz strong.
